Semester 2

My classes in Semester 2 included Web Development, Design Fundamentals, Photography, and Vector Illustration. I gained skills in using Adobe Illustrator, Camera Raw and understanding design principles. Here are my proudest projects from this semester!

The homepage of my personal website
Customized Website
MULT-124 - Using HTML & CSS in Multiple Webpages

This was the culmination of all my work thus far in web development; creating a website with three pages of custom, high-quality content using HTML and CSS! I decided to give my website a 'record store' theme, hence the screenshot. I included a home-page with navigation in the header and footer, while the other two pages included embedded content, text, and images. For this assignment, I focused on making my website completely responsive. This ensured that no matter what device someone viewed my website on, they would get the same experience!
I continued to update this website for months after the assignment was complete as a passion project, and I plan to transfer the content onto this website in the future!

Narrative Photo Sequence
PHOT-126 - Telling a Story Through Photography

This was my final project for Photography, where we took a series of photos and put them together to tell a story! The narrative in my photo sequence shows a coat hanger over the course of a year, with different props and exposure changes signifying the seasons' change. I kept the angle consistent across every photo for the sake of my sequence, as I experimented with the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed to accomplish the desired images.

Grid Layouts
DSGN-110 - Utilizing Grids to Design Projects

This series of designs had me experimenting with different kinds of grid layouts to design a poster, a magazine layout, and a website respectively. The designs were done using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Grids are an essential tool to have when creating layouts, so this was an excellent opportunity to test my limits as a designer!
